TECHNIQUES
Katsuji Wakisaka, uses the method of finding inspiration and then simply drawing or painting onto a piece of art paper.
Katsuji doesn't cram the page with ideas, he only draws about two to four examples of the design on the piece of paper for a rough draft., to get an idea of what the future design will look like. |
Once Katsuji Wakisaka, has finalised his designs on the computer he prints off many copy's of the one design, so that he is able to put them all onto a board. This is so Katsjui is able to get a feel of what all the designs would look like when repeated and how the designs should match up with each other.
One of Katsuji's great techniques and abilities is him being able to purposefully blur the lines between the living room furniture and the nursery, which brings back fun, boldness and quirky ideas or prints back into home furnishing.
